What a lovely reminder you've posted ...Oh, yes! What a lovely reminder you've posted Wendy of some very beautiful things. AT our place, when we all sit down for dinner in the evening, we have a little ritual. We each tell two things we are thankful for that day. This ranges from "cricket practice outside" to "warm food on a cold night" to "the trees that we see all around." It's not a formal saying of grace but a chance to acknowledge how lucky we are to be safe, warm and loved. There are wants and needs, and if the needs are covered then the rest is gravy 😀
Julie DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7122163157306498894.post-30263112871064655892018-02-28T10:49:58.920+11:002018-02-28T10:49:58.920+11:00Lovely post. I love the verse part that begins:
“When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done!”

It’s always a good reminder when we start to feel deprived or sorry for ourselves and our situation. It’s amazing how after counting our blessings, our attitude and perspective changes to one of gratitude and optimism which takes away the clouds of discouragement!

I find that if I view something as an opportunity to get creative rather than an obstacle or stumbling block to my happiness, the whole situation changes for me!

What a timely reminder to us all, Wendy! Thanks so much for sharing!!! You’ve brightened my day!!gardenpathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00401840113446791143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7122163157306498894.post-86034577147615652822018-02-28T06:11:50.356+11:002018-02-28T06:11:50.356+11:00I certainly always try to remind myself of how luc...I certainly always try to remind myself of how lucky I am, and to be grateful for most everything in my life.
