I would advise to preheat the slow cookerWendy Gowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079131126381265901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7122163157306498894.post-54281270780465564262019-10-03T09:09:19.789+10:002019-10-03T09:09:19.789+10:00Wendy, it's been a long time since I have cook...Wendy, it's been a long time since I have cooked a whole chicken in my Crock Pot. My experience was that it was overdone at 5 hours on Low. When cooked the full 8 hours, the bones even broke apart. I think the CP is OK for BLSL chicken breasts if you get the time rightmikemaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06569666073239903588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7122163157306498894.post-18800105871239690592019-10-03T03:34:49.179+10:002019-10-03T03:34:49.179+10:00I have ALWAYS cooked whole chickens in my slow coo...I have ALWAYS cooked whole chickens in my slow cooker - never had a problem and they are beautiful. They just fall apart and are so tender. I'm not sure why people are so nervous about it. I find it only needs about 6 hours on the high setting, or the chicken will be overcooked. I do it a lot in the summer, as it is too hot to put the big oven on. earthmotherwithinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03506831989357088817noreply@blogger.com
