Hello Readers, my name is Wendy. I am a happily married mother of two adult daughters and three grandchildren. Together with my husband we are living an abundant life through growing some of our own vegetables and fruit, cooking and baking everything we can from scratch and being mindful of what we use and buy. God has blessed us abundantly. We try to be good stewards of those blessings.

Thanks so much for sharing, time to stock up on the nappy-pants! Miss-almost-3 is at that stage :)
ReplyDeleteCrumpets seem to be " half price " every week - and they're still more expensive than Aldi
ReplyDeleteCrumpets seems to be half price so often. That's why I don't always put them on my blog. I've heard from many sources that the Aldi crumpets are not very nice.
DeleteCoul you please put your name to your post so that I know who I'm addressing. Thankyou
Thanks Wendy, i found out today that my job ends in December, i was trying to distract myself by reading your blog and saw your nappy pants special. I ducked out and stocked up, miss 4 and mr 2.5 still wear them at night, and am feeling happy to have made a great saving. Thanks for taking the time
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your news. My husband and I have been there. Stockpile as many items as you can especially at 1/2 price. Basic toiletries, basic food staples like flour, sugar, tinned toms, pasta, rice, cereals etc. Get a list going for presents needed and start buying.
DeleteYou can do this xoxo
Sorry, posted to soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for making the time for your blog, its a great read and a great source of inspiration for savings! Charlotte
You are very welcome.
DeleteWoolies has Paradise Cottage cookies for $1.25 a packet - not normally on my list but a great buy for emergencies!
ReplyDeleteAlso, CC's for $1.55 packet, great for Nachos - we make these a vegetarian main meal with a kidney bean recipe and salad.
Both less than half price.
Sue
Woolies also have all Decor containers including red micro ware all half price. They had large 55 Litre roller storage tubs with lids for $8. Edgell Australian corn, beans like 4 Bean etc for $1 each tin. I also bought some lovely 500ct sheets in flat or fitted $21 each and pillowcase 2 packs to match $7.50? Sorry can't remember exactly but under $8. I missed getting Aldi ones a week or so ago as no nice colours left, these ones at WW were lovely and soft like those.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteAldi's have Carrots 1kg bags for 0.79c ea
Big W have Dove soap 4 pk $4.00
Maureen
That's a great price for carrots. I'll be getting some now that I'm a bit more mobile. I wonder if Big W has pink Dove soap ? Woolworths doesn't even have a spot for it on the shelf.
DeleteSince I have been reading the specials you post each week I really see the cycle Coles and Woolies have for the various products. It gives a good idea of how much to buy before an item goes on special again .
ReplyDeleteRegards Julie D From Pilbara WA
There are some items that always seem to be on sale like crumpets, muffins, raison bread, chips, chocoalte, lollies and soft drink.
DeleteNot a lot on there for me this week, but you are wonderful to post this week in, week out Wendy. Thankyou so much. At least this week I know I'm not missing anything....lol! Love, Mimi xxx
ReplyDeleteMimi, I won't be buying much.
DeleteHi Wendyites. Dettol foam hand wash is on special at Coles for $2.40 each. Handy to stock up on for in case the ones we refill go bung. They also have the Palmolive foaming refills for $2.74. Cheaper than body wash especially when diluted.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a big week for me specials wise but I did get some great mark downs. I stocked up on Turkish breads for use in things like focaccia or subs for emergency meals. Most had been five to six dollars a packet but I got them for 99c. Each pack would be at least two meals or more for us.
ReplyDeleteEi have heard some great mark downs lately, it pays to check carefully in case, the rewards can be massive! Have a wonderful weekend! xxx
