Cheapskates Adelaide Workshop On Today Tonight

Cath Armstrong and myself were in Adelaide a couple of weeks ago holding a one day Cheapskates workshop.  We had a camera crew from Today Tonight filming it for a tv story.

The story aired a couple of nights ago in Adelaide and here is the link for you to watch

I hope you enjoy the story.   This is a wonderful way to find out what goes on when lots of like minded  thrifty people get together.  It was so much fun with new friends being made,  good conversation,  where to get the best deals being shared and generally everyone wanting to live the best life possible.

ENJOY  !!!

  1. hi Wendy,
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the story and listening to the positive impact the workshop had already had on several of the people attending. For a few moments in time it made someone like me, (who would have loooooved to attend except for it being some kms away), feel like I was actually there :)

The only thing that saddened me was the comment written by someone else who watched the clip and obviously 'doesn't get it'. Far too often people write words on social media that that I'm sure they wouldn't say when directly speaking to someone/people.
    Bless you,
    Wendy

    1. Where do you live ? We are hoping to do more so maybe you'll get to come one day.

There will always be negative comments even though it's a positive story.

    2. Newcastle NSW. Although there aren't any direct flights from Newcastle to Adelaide, there are to Melbourne :) If you do end up running a course in Newcastle just let me know in advance and I'm more than happy to give you a list of possible venues. 3 come to mind straight away, including the meeting rooms or auditorium at our church.

    3. I think we've had a few requests from Newcastle. Are you friends with me on FB ? If not, could you please send a friend request. When organising the workshops, it's good to have contacts as we need to be mindful of the costs.

  2. Sounds like a lot of fun, and that the participants got a lot out of it. Hope you all come to Canberra one day!

    1. We hope to. We need about 35 people to come to a workshop to cover costs. Do you think you could rally the troops ? Could you ask around to see what interest is in your area and let me know please.

  3. Please please do a couple in regional victoria. Say Ballarat, Horsham or Sale. I would travel to Ballarat to see you as I missed the Melbourne ones. I am sure you would get heaps there. Plus it will give you a regional insight to how we need to shop.

    1. I'll pass it on to Cath. I DO love Ballarat so that might be a possibility.

  4. Hi Wendy - would have loved to have been a fly on the wall - but I guess the video allowed me to be that! We to are in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area.
