  1. Hi Wendy, I just found your blog and have cherry picked my way through. You are a woman after my own heart, I grow as much veg and fruit as I can and cook everything from scratch. My Brother and his family live in WA, they emigrated 10 years ago and say that food prices have increased but with careful planning and wise shopping live well. I will be trying your recipes out and will be making the apple roses. I am not a card maker but sew, knit and crochet as well as the gardening. Best wishes Pam

    1. Welcome Pam and thankyou for your comment. I wasn't a card maker until I read Annabel's blog The Bluebirds Are Nesting. She showed me you could make cards with what you have on hand.

Learning to crochet is my next goal.

I'm sure you enjoy growing your own fruit and veg. It's so exciting and rewarding.

  3. Dear Wendy, Thank you! I am adding things for Christmas too.
I just saw in your reply to Pam that you want to learn to crochet! Happy dance from me. If you need help from tutorials tell me as I know some good ones. But you may have someone to show you. You just need chain, single crochet and double crochet. And practice those. Most things are made from them. So exited! :)
Hope you are having a good week! With love, Annabel.xxx

    1. I bought heaps of red and green paper plates after last Christmas too. 5 cents a pack in Woolworths. I also got ginger bread house packs for 5 cents each ( I make them as biscuits ) and Christmas cupcake decorations 12 per pack for 5 cents ( I bought heaps as they have a very long best before ). It ways pays to look for bargains after a season has finished.
