Planning  the family budget for the new year

It's jam making season.  Time to get your glass jars ready with this recipe

Annabel at The Bluebirds Are Nesting blog makes cards to give as presents.  Take a look at her beautiful cards.  Annabel was the one who inspired and encouraged me to give card making a go.

Mimi at A Tray Of Bliss blog jazzes up teabags to give as a thrifty yet elegant gift.

  1. Thanks for your link back to budgeting for the new year. We had a big budget discussion last night with all our girls (who are now all adults bar one) and this will be our last year with most of them in the house as 2 will e moving overseas in 12 months to teach and one will be moving to Armidale for university and there is a real possibility that we may only have one daughter left at home in 12 months. So we cut them a deal and said if they can do their part to reduce electricity, phone, gas, food bills we would share 50/50 the savings wit them......instant uptake!

  2. Thank you Wendy! Now is a great time to plan and be inspired! I will try and think of some to add... for those that love a big re organise A Bowl Full of Lemons has a big challenge coming up. A Working Pantry is very good and very practical. Cheryl's Frugal Corner ... she has some lovely pantry building posts I love. Frugal Measures (by Becky) also has some great pantry posts. One of my favourite is taking a break right now but is an enormous money saving and pantry rescue this is Strangers and Pilgrims on Earth blog.. she also has recipes for everything and free printable and coat projects and patterns etc. so much information.
Have a wonderful New Year! I hope 2018 will be good for us all! With love,

  3. Wendy thankyou for linking my teabag tags. They are pretty and always a hit for something so small and easy...Mimi xxx

    1. You're welcome Mimi. I thought the teabags looked elegant.
