Abundant Cottage Adventures Friday 24th April 2020

Friday was a glorious day in Melbourne.  The sun shone for most of the day and the air was slightly warm.  Luka had some play time outside and enjoyed visiting the chickens to say hello and also plated at his water table with a bucket and spade. Here's what else we got up to.

*  Megan and I went grocery shopping and ran a few errands.

*  While we were out,  Darren vacuumed and mopped the floors.

*  Darren and I enjoyed morning and afternoon tea out on the deck.

*  We had chicken schnitzels,  salad and chips for dinner.

Bryson fell asleep on the play mat.

Have you enjoyed being outside in the fresh air lately  ?

  1. Being out of the house is a struggle. I took my granddaughter for a walk which was fun. We need to make the most of simple pleasures.

  2. We have had really hot weather which is not usual for April. I am making the most of it because it wont last. We are allowed to go out once a day to exercise so I go for a walk different places every day. As the golf club is shut I have discovered what a beautiful place the golf course is and hardly anybody there. I have also enjoyed sitting on my patio for dinner each evening. I love the photo of your grandson asleep.

  3. Beautiful little boy. :)
I watched our 3 Littles today while their daddy fixed pasture fences and Grandpa worked on the planter. They are 3, 2 and almost 1 in ages. It is a lot of hands-on care but the smiles and hugs are worth it. The littlest one is such a happy baby. She's babbling and starting to say Dada and tries to imitate our words a little. The 3.5 year old is a boy and is very precise in what he does. He loves Legos and Super Heros. The middle Sis wants to do everything her big brother does and yet when he's not around she has fun interacting with her little sister and she plays so well on her own.
It's mid-Spring here in the middle of the US and we are outside everyday doing farm things. I haven't had a chance to plant my garden yet, but have the seed potatoe and onion sets ready once the soil drys a bit. We've had snow and rain in the last 2 weeks. I would have planted some rhubarb (Pie Plant) and strawberry plants but I ran out of daylight after the Littles went home.
    Next week for sure!
